The FBI said the extremist group known as the National Liberation Militia has proposed a “Halloween revolt” that encourages its supporters to stir up unrest to attract police and then brutally attack them.

There is no specific threat to New York City and the NYPD Intelligence Bureau is monitoring the situation, the Post reported.

Officials have alerted local police departments to the potential for attacks on their officers, CBS News reported.

Law enforcement officials across the country said they felt under siege after a series of deadly attacks on police, CNN reported.

In 2015, at least 30 law enforcement officers were shot and killed in the United States, including NYPD agent Randolph Holder, who was shot in the head by a suspect in October.

Police Commissioner William J. Bratton said Holder was the fourth NYPD officer to be killed in the line of duty in the past 11 months.
