It is time again to join us for our third edition of the Hamilton Anarchist Bookfair. Please come in big numbers. Vendors from across Ontario and beyond will be present again providing a variety of literature. We will hold several workshops this year with the main theme being the G8/G20 summit and links to local struggles.

Again this year free childcare and free food will be provided. The space is ramp accessible with all events on the main floor and a bigger bathroom is available. A gender neutral bathroom will be available. The event will be advertised as a scent-free space. We do try to make this event as accessible as possible for everybody so if you have any specific needs, please contact us at hamiltonanarchistbookfair(at)gmail.com.

Come learn about anarchist ideas for the first time or deepen your knowledge. Meet local organizers and connect with local struggles. Stick around for the after party!

Announcing the First Ever London, Ontario Anarchist Bookfair
Announcing the 1st Ever LONDON (Ontario) ANARCHIST BOOKFAIR! ---- Anarchists in London, Ontario are pleased to announce that we have formed a collective and are in the process of planning the biggest anarchist event our city has ever seen! On October 22-24, 2010, all roads lead to LONDON! We are now looking for accomplices! Consider this an open invitation to scheme with us. We're looking for anarchist book distributors and publishers, anarchist musicians, anarchist artists, anarchist poets, anarchist speakers, anarchist authors, anarchist everything*!
We are anarchists without adjectives but we don't hate on adjective bearing anarchists. We want your insurrectionists, your syndicalists, your lifestylists, your primitivists, your anarcha-feminists, your radical queer bash backers, your straight-edge vegans, your drunken anarcho-punk hooligans, your pirates, and of course traveller kids (cuz they're likely to travel here).
The schedule we have decided on is this:
Friday Oct. 22nd:
5PM: Opening ceremony and speaker
7PM: March Against Police Brutality
9PM: ANARCHIST PUNK SHOW!
Saturday Oct. 23rd:
9AM: Vegan Pancake Breakfast
10AM-6PM: 1st LONDON ANARCHIST BOOKFAIR
10AM-6PM: ANARCHIST ART GALLERY/SILENT AUCTION
6PM: keynote speaker (TBA)
8PM: Anarchist Variety Show!
Sunday Oct. 24th:
10AM-5PM Workshops at various radical spaces throughout the city. Actions Against Eco-Criminals throughout the day (supposedly someone designated this 'THE' day of action against climate change so we should do as much as we can within the confines of this 24 hour period)

Friends,
It’s time for us to gather. To assemble and talk to each other. To bring together folks who secretly or not so secretly identify with anarchism, and continue to build a larger and more vibrant community. Building on last year’s ‘Toronto Anarchist Gathering’ this will be a bigger and better weekend of events including panel discussions, booktables, workshops, social events and more.
We need your help!
We’re writing to invite you to participate in a weekend of fun and anarchism at the Toronto Anarchist Assembly on April 9-11th. This will be a space for a wide variety of anarchist individuals, radical political groups, and anti-authoritarian organizations to come together, meet, greet, educate, skill-share, and hear about each other’s projects and plans.
Hopefully this will be an opportunity to educate some people about what anarchism is all about, to encourage people to get involved with some of the organizing and organizations that exist in Toronto, and to provide a space for already-established groups to hear about each other’s work.
On Friday April 9th, there will be an evening panel discussion on “Anarchism in the 21st Century”
On Saturday April 10, there will be booktables, group tables, displays, and workshops from 11am-3pm. Then from 3pm-5pm there will be a giant go-around so folks can hear what other people are up to. From 5pm on there will be a family-friendly social with food, games, and movies, followed later by music, a bar, and all kinds of anti-authoritarian hijinks.
On Sunday April 11, there will be more booktables, group tables, displays, and workshops.
